It’s an understandable frustration. As I watch blue states clear out, I can’t help but feel sympathy for all the small cities and towns in normal “fly-over country," that are being flooded by thoughtless, clueless blue state refugees, who have never learned to make the connection between "how they vote" and their own cost of living and burdened quality of life.

It’s sad to see some places being overrun with the same nonsense that California and New York voters are taking with them as they flee the consequences of their own poor political choices. I’ll say it again, “too many fleeing their blue home states don’t make the connection between their voting habits and the conditions they are running from.”

We are at a time in our nation’s history in which there is another civil war, but one not fought with violence, but by citizens with their vote and their conscience. For too long we have depended solely on the constitution to protect us. We have taken for granted that the freedom contained in that precious document is “self-evident” but sadly, my friends, it is not. The constitution is not a living being. It can only protect us if we continue to hold it in reverence and guide us as a society. As President Ronald Reagan once famously said:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”

There will be no one who can magically change the voting habits of beleaguered blue-staters as they flood the Heartland. We must engage. We must get involved. We must counteract their voting tendencies. We must come out and vote in every local election, no matter how insignificant you believe it to be. If you think you can make a difference, run for office. You may not make it to the U.S. Senate, but you can shape the politics of your community as a member of the school board or city council.

YOU CAN SAVE YOUR TOWN from the irrational, destructive fantasies of coastal Democrats fleeing to the heartland, from the very conditions they created with their insatiable quests for equity of outcome, and costly social programs that foster more dependency than encouraging self-sufficiency and accountability.

I understand. We conservatives just want to be left alone. But the other political ideology is full of “busy bodies.” Busy bodies who gravitate towards positions of authority. They will not leave you alone. They will change your community. They will affect your life. Like C.S.Lewis once said:

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some points be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good, will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

I hope it goes without saying that our elected leaders do indeed have the responsibility to lead, and there is often a fine line between leading and coercion. But what I am saying here now, as was Lewis then, is the dehumanizing “abuse of power” that too often crosses far past that fine line and is, at least as I see it, more common than it should be, in our governments.

We have witnessed this in the colossal infringements on our liberty and freedoms forced upon us without remorse, by petty tyrant blue state governors and mayors, in their response to the ChiCom-19 alleged pandemic, justified on the basis of “it’s for our own good” or “in service of the greater “good.” No it isn’t, particularly so, when it causes more harm than good. Like the shutdown orders affecting schools and businesses that are tantamount to “population control actions.” The social distancing, the ineffective mask wearing mandates.

Make no mistake, we are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The real conflict is between American pseudo-Socialism and crypto-Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedoms and liberty. We must hold accountable politicians who will not act to counter the tearing of our Constitution. We must stand up for our Constitutional Republic, and insist on restrained governing, while focusing on all Americans, especially the middle class, not the special interest or extremist groups which are used to divide us into warring factions.

All pro-constitution citizens must get involved now at the local, state and/or national level to elect political representatives who will act to Save America, our Constitutional Republic, and hold those currently in office accountable for their ineptitude, corruption, and border-line treason.
